According to Cleveland, Gus Fring plays a major role in Jimmy McGill's transformation in "Better Call Saul" Season 3. Fans believed that the mafia boss will be seen in the new installment of the "Breaking Bad" spinoff as all the starting letters from the previous season spell "Fring's Back." To recall, in the previous finale, Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) saw a note from an unknown person on his car after trying to assassinate Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis).
The memo has an inscribed "don't" in it and many believed that it was from Gus Fring. Although no one saw the philanthropist around, it was considered as a sign that he would be seen in "Better Call Saul" Season 3. In fact, event the showrunner Peter Gould thinks that Gus Fring has something to do with what happened to Mike, as per Variety.

As he has no one to turn to, he would be forced to accept the business magnate's offer.

He also revealed that, in fact, the presence of Gus Fring is already felt in the "Breaking Bad" prequel. If ever he will be seen in "Better Call Saul" Season 3, it is "still up in the air." AMC has yet to announce the release date of "Better Call Saul" Season 3, but it is expected to be out in 2017.
