A sequel to Pixar's "The Incredibles" but fans have yet to know what the story will be about and when the film will be released. Director Brad Bird shared earlier this year that the script for "The Incredibles 2" has been started. Recently, Bird talked to Collider to provide an update on the progress of the sequel's storyline.
According to the director, the writing team is pretty much having fun with the process of coming up with a story for "The Incredibles 2." "I have the story arc. I'm probably three-quarters through the script, first pass through the script, but we're already boarding parts of it," Bird told the news outlet.
There is yet to be an official release date to be announced for the animated sequel but it is speculated that the movie will be ready by 2018. It's been 12 years since fans saw the last of the Parr family and according to Collider, Pixar films should take between four and six months to complete. Since news of the possible "The Incredibles 2" broke out in 2014, 2018 should fit perfectly in the timeline.
While fans keep waiting for details on the plot, rumors of it have been rampant. According to several reports, Jack-Jack will be "The Incredibles 2" villain. In the original movie, Jack-Jack was just an infant who was revealed to also have superpowers. Fast forward to more than a decade, Jack-Jack is assumed to be a teenager with raging hormones, ready to rebel.
In addition, he has also discovered his awesome super powers and since he's just young and wouldn't know how to control it, he becomes easily manipulated to turn into the big bad. Then again, his siblings Violet and Dash will come to the rescue and bring him back to the good side. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "The Incredibles 2" news and updates!
