Despite the lack of any confirmation about the release date of the highly-anticipated "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 from FUNimation or Madhouse, a 2016 release date is still speculated to be set, with a reassuring news that Season 3 would not divert any more from the manga. Will this ever happen?
YIBADA reported that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will not deviate from the manga like everyone first thought off. The source material of the anime series is based from Sui Ishida's manga of the same title. Season 2 of the anime deviated quite well from the manga counterpart housing a lot of criticism from the fans of the series. Notably, Ken Kaneki doesn't meet Tsukiyama until after the Hinami incident with Amon and Kado.
Although those events happened in Season 1, it good to note that some parts were rearrange to make some parts of the story more fluent. As for the "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 plot, other from Touka going to college there has been a lot of speculations about where the series might head.
According to Christian Today, "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 can possibly open up with Ken Kaneki having trouble remembering the past. This amnesia like state will caused him to have another identity know as Haise Sasaki. Although all of this might sound convoluted but it will all make sense if you read the Tokyo Ghoul manga.
FUNimations is not going to divert from the manga any further but fans aren't really complaisant with that. In relate to that news, FUNimation and Madhouse has both been cleared to air "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 in favour of a Remake.
Fans should also expect that gory stuff from "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will not be censored. There was a notable cencorship in the past Season of the anime, with some parts of the battle scene being darkened by a shadow to blur away the blood from the battle.
