Despite the popularity "Girl Meets World," there were still controversies regarding the no updates for season 4. According to speculations Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter can't keep their anger towards Disney Channel regarding the updates on the series although it's already been denied.
iTech Post reported that "Girl Meets World" Season 4 renewal might be impossible for the cast. It appears that the cast are now moving to college and the storyline might be more mature and would not fit to Disney audiences anymore. There've been petitions from fans online making their own efforts for the shows renewal on the channel yet it seems no effect for the series.
"Girl Meets World" Season 3 is almost coming to an end while one of the cast Uriah Justus already posted a sad goodby. That being said, the rumors are being linked to his post regarding the possibility that it is now impossible to air "Girl Meets World" Season 4. Season 3 is currently airing in Disney Channel which is bound to end by 2017.

Many fans are excited for the love triangle between Riley, Maya and Lucas which is expected to be featured on "Girl Meets World" Season 4, whether in Disney Channel or in Freeform. Their love story will feature mature topics for a higher level series.

There also claims that after filming the last scene of "Girl Meets World" Season 3, lead star Rowan was also spotted sobbing. Disney's decision for the series might be announced after the show ends. However, as of the moment, the fate of "Girl Meets World" Season 4 remains indefinite. Despite the surging rumors, every detail should be taken with a grain of salt in mind.
