The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are already out though the consumer reception has been mixed so far. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 bombing out, most are left with no alternative but to seriously consider the iPhone 7 variants or wait for the iPhone 8.
The obvious choice here would depend on the end-user. Folks who want a phone upgrade are likely to take Apple up on their offer while others will wait and see what the iPhone 8 will have to offer.
For those following the rumor mill, a redesigned iPhone 8 is expected to come out next year filled with major improvements both inside and out. Some of them may already be present on the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus but a whole lot more is expected.
The initial word on the iPhone 8
Right now, the mentioned features that the iPhone 8 may carry from the iPhone 7 include a flushed home button which automatically signals water-proof improvements. The home button is likely to come armed with a Touch ID plus the possible addition of iris-scanning, the same one the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 carried.
With the 3.5 mm jack out, the iPhone 8 is also expected to be thinner only that it may be held up in an all-glass body, a departure from the all-metal niche that was first applied on the iPhone 6.
With a glass shell, such also signals better WiFi and LTE capability since it lessens the chances of blocking signals coming in and out of the iPhone 8’s antenna.
What chip will it use?
In another previous post, it was mentioned how the iPhone 7 has altered the course of Apple’s A-Series chips. The same is expected for the MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air, pointing to a likely integration with the iPhone 8. More iPhone 8 features are expected to come out in the following months so make sure to check back for more.
