GameStop, Microsoft and Epic Games have announce that "Gears of War" fans, who preorder Gears of War: Judgment will receive early access to the new multiplayer mode, OverRun.
According to a post on the Major Nelson Blog, early access on Xbox Live will begin on March 15 exclusively for GameStop PowerUp Rewards members and Xbox Live Gold members. Just four days before the game launches on March 19. The offer also applies retroactively to gamers who have previously preordered the game at GameStop.
The OverRun mode is a class-based competitive mode that pits Locust and COG soldiers in a head-to-head battle, as the two teams attempt to complete an objective. According to the press release, "OverRun marks the first time that a class-based, competitive multiplayer experience has been introduced in the "Gears of War" series."
Preordering Gears of War: Judgment from GameStop will also net gamers two exclusive pre-order bonuses for use in competitive multiplayer modes.

Preordering the game from any retailer also nets gamers the Classic Hammerburst, "a fearsome and effective weapon that served as the standard-issue assault rifle of the Locust Army."
