The "Batman" standalone film that is expected to star Ben Affleck is still typically lurking behind the shadows. Contradictory to the secrecy, new light may have been shined on the Dark Knight's re-appearance in the big screen.
Having only appeared twice, Ben Affleck's take on the Caped Crusader has revealed very little about itself. Slowly, things have started to unfold for the "Batman" standalone film-the villains, potential plot and even the release period.
According to Batman News, Time Warner CEO and Chairman Jeff Bewkes recently talked of the "Batman" solo film. Bewkes first elaborated the success of both "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" which thereafter was followed up with a surprise hint during the 25th Annual Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference.
Bewkes said that Ben Affleck's announcement of the "Batman" movie could potentially take place in about eighteen months, roughly a year and a half away. Such news, according to Comic Book, could mean that the production of the film will start during the said period and is the anonymously blocked November 1, 2019 DC film.
The "Batman" film is yet to be given a fixed story line to hang on to, but the most affirmative bit of information is thus far is that of Deathstroke being a prospect villain. Joe Manganiello is confirmed on playing the said role of Slade Wilson, DC's most recognizable assassin.
More interestingly, "Batman" is also not the only entry that is bound to take the DC Universe to the top again. "Wonder Woman" and "Justice League" are two other films slated to hit the theaters even sooner than Ben Affleck's creation, waiting to grace the cinemas next year.
As far as anticipation is concerned, "Batman" rumors have gone all around the web, even getting to the point of a potential Robin casting. What else is being cooked up for the said film? Stay tuned for further news and updates here at Gamenguide.
