Square Enix recently provided preliminary notes for the upcoming "Final Fantasy XIV" 3.4 update, called "Soul Surrender." The new patch features a lot of new playable content, new items, battle system tweaks, new quests and side quests and more.
According to the official website, the "Final Fantasy XIV" Soul Surrender patch will provide new main story quests, new Grand Company quests. It also has new Chronicles of a New Era quests and new side story quests. Three of the residential districts will feature new apartments. However, "Final Fantasy XIV" players need to have at least one class to level 50 and reached the second lieutenant rank in a Grand Company to purchase one. Each character will only be allowed one apartment, which each living space costing 500,000 gil.
PlayStation Lifestyle stated that the "Final Fantasy XIV" Soul Surrender DLC will also feature new enhancements and additions to the environment. Players can challenge others in duels and the Feast custom matches. There is a new spectator mode for players who only wish to witness the fights. There will be new dungeons and players can create the Grand Company Squadrons and recruit non-playable characters. The "Final Fantasy XIV" Soul Surrender patch will also contain the Wondrous Tails system, where the NPC Khloe will provide a reward upon the acquisition of seals.
The "Final Fantasy XIV" patch 3.4 will include Normal and Savage mode. Alexander: The Creator, which is the last raid in the Alexander series, will also be available. In terms of the Battle System, several tweaks have been introduced. The limit break action has been adjusted as well, and there is a help text for a number of status effects, actions and traits. The "Final Fantasy XIV" Soul Surrender patch will add new items, gear, minions, a new mount, and a new trial, featuring Sophia, the Goddess.
A new "Final Fantasy XIV" Soul Surrender trailer for the upcoming patch has been revealed, detailing many of the new content and adjustments. The "Final Fantasy XIV" Soul Surrender update will become available on Sept. 27, 2016 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. More updates and details are expected soon.
