"Nashville" Season 5 almost didn't make it when ABC canceled the show, but, fortunately, it is picked up by CMT for continuation. With that, as the TV series is soon to be out, the cast members' revealed behind-the-scene footages to tease their fans of their return.
Stars, EP Happier On New Network?
"You can tell when it's not time, and it wasn't time," Charles Esten, who portrays Deacon, said about the continuation of "Nashville" Season 5. According to Taste of Country, the stars look very excited with their new home network, CMT. "It kind of feels, in some ways, like a new show," Jonathan Jackson, who takes the role of Avery, expressed.
Lennon Stella (Maddie Conrad) also said that she now feels better that "Nashville" Season 5 is on CMT. Aside from stars, the show's creator Callie Khouri also described that their new writers and staffs are "great gifts." In fact, it seems like they have created a new life when they made the big change. The executive producer also revealed that fans are about to witness longer episodes, but not too many characters.
Murray Bartlett Joins 'Nashville' Season 5, Will He Be Will's New Lover?
Meanwhile, Murray Bartlett is going to join "Nashville" Season 5 for a major recurring role, as per TVLine. The 45-year-old star will take the role of Jakob Fine, a good-looking, charming and successful fashion designer. It has been said that the addition of the "Looking" actor might be the new lover of Will (Chris Carmack).
However, the publication's source slammed the report and said that Jakob will be introduced to Chris, but there will be no budding romance. To recall, Will has been reunited with Kevin (Kyle Dean Massey) in the previous season's finale and there are strong rumors that the latter is set to return. "Nashville" Season 5 will return on CMT with a two-hour episode on Jan. 5 at 9 p.m.
