Netflix's "Sense8" Season 2 just wrapped up, as confirmed by some of the cast members who have been updating about the progress of the filming on social media. This should mean that an exact release date is soon to be announced, but if it's up to cast member Jamie Clayton, fans should definitely expect the sensates to be back soon.
Early this year, Clayton announced on Twitter that "Sense8" Season 2 will be back this Christmas 2016. In a follow-up post on the social media, the 38-year-old actress clarified that the premiere episode of the second season will be released on Christmas, but the rest of the episodes will air in 2017. Although this hasn't been confirmed by Netflix, co-star Daryl Hannah seemingly hinted a Christmas episode, by posting a photo of the script title of that particular episode.
Fans will just have to wait for further announcement on when the second season of "Sense8" will premiere. At the moment, the science fiction drama series is being plagued with various plot speculations. Based on updates from the set, "Sense8" Season 2 will feature the love triangle involving Kala (Tina Desai), Wolfgang (Max Riemelt) and Rajan (Purab Kohli). Speaking to Buzzfeed, Riemelt also shared that season 2 will have more themes of violence and sex. "We're pushing the boundaries," Riemelt said.
"Sense8" Season 2 will definitely feature an interesting comeback given the updates from the series actors. However, there might be some sad news about one of them leaving. According to rumors, Sun Bak's Bae Doona won't be returning to the series after season 2. Speculations about the kickboxing character's exit started when Soompi reported that the South Korean actress has received several projects. According to the publication, Bae Doona has been offered to star in South Korea's "The Voice," but the actress is reportedly reviewing the offer.
It remains to be seen if Bae Doona will indeed return after "Sense8" Season 2. Fans will have to stay tuned to find out about Sun Bak's fate and the rest of the sensates when the series returns to Netflix.
