Sam Heughan is now busy filming "Outlander" Season 3, but he still managed to visit the Barbour store on Madison Avenue in New York City recently. The much-loved actor, who portrays Jamie Fraser, granted an interview and talked about what's in store in the coming drama series.
Sam Heughan Teases The Coming 'Outlander' Season 3
Sam Heughan just revealed that he came from filming two episodes of "Outlander" Season 3 in Scotland. The Scottish model hinted that the new installment will be based on Diana Gabaldon's third book, "Voyager," but he didn't want to give any more details. "I don't want to jinx it, but it feels very strong, very exciting. There's a lot that happens in it," he told Elle. Fans are about to witness "a lot of intrigues" in the coming adaptation, which the author herself revealed that is hard to refine.
As "Outlander" Season 3 would be set 20 years after the Battle of Culloden, Sam Heughan hinted that the show's characters would be apart but will see each other again. In fact, viewers are about to see some "big emotional stuff." He also explained that the aging of Jamie won't be matured by looks but by experience he has been through. The actor also teased that he will be seen often covered with blood or mud as he spent two weeks of filming on the battlefield.

In a different interview with Harper's Bazaar, Sam Heughan was also asked what is his most favorite scenes in the coming "Outlander" Season 3. "Jamie's storyline is really exciting. He has to go through a lot before him and Claire are reunited, I guess being reunited with his true love, his wife," he hinted. He also teased that they have a lot of "exciting stuff" for the historical time travel series' fans.
The only thing he revealed is that Sam Heughan is trying to give "Outlander" Season 3 spoilers, but also trying not to give away a lot. He said that they often talked about the Battle of Culloden and the filming as he described it is going to be "spectacular." Starz has yet to announce the release of "Outlander" Season 3, but it is expected to be out in 2017.
