There's one more week to go before October comes but Microsoft has already announced the list of free titles included in the Xbox Live Games With Gold October 2016 Lineup. As always, there will be four new titles offered free for next month. Two will be playable Xbox One and the other two on Xbox 360, but both games for the latter console can be playable on Xbox One via the Backward Compatibility feature.
As stated in Major Nelson's report, "Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings" will be a free game for Xbox Live Gold members for October 2016. The game can be downloaded for Xbox One within the month of October. Originally priced at $19.99, the baseball simulation game was made available on the console last 2015.
Also included in the Xbox Live Games With Gold October 2016 is "The Escapists." Originally retailing for $19.99, the award-winning game features the simulation of prison break. The objective of the game is to escape from prison but the fun lies in executing the escape. The game will be available for download on Xbox One from Oct. 16 to Nov. 15.
Meanwhile, the Xbox Live Games with Gold October 2016 titles for Xbox 360 include "MX vs ATV Reflex" and "I Am Alive." Originally priced at $29.99, "MX vs ATV Reflex" is an off-road racing game, the focus of which is letting players race off using either ATVs or motocross bikes. The game will be available as a free download starting on Oct. 1 until Oct. 15. "I Am Alive," on the other hand, is a post-apocalyptic-themed survival video game from Ubisoft released in 2012. The game is originally priced at $14.99 but can be downloaded for free from Oct. 16 until Oct. 31.
The titles included in the Xbox Live Games with Gold October 2016 lineup are only available for the Live Gold members. Meanwhile, there are still titles from the September lineup and there's still time to catch them. "Earthlock: Festival of Magic" and "Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China" are still offered free for Xbox One and "Mirror's Edge" for Xbox 360.
