Developer 4J has indicated Minecraft Xbox 360′s update 8 is on the way, and according to a recent tweet, is mostly relegated to bug fixes.
"We will hopefully be announcing the fix list next week - looking like around 40 fixes at the moment," 4J tweeted.
Targeted in the update are autosaving, freezing failures, and other minor issues.
As reported by OXM, the developer is also working on some extras for fans, but discussion seems mostly relegated to a new Skin Pack for now. "Skin Pack 4 is in progress, but a pack of community requested skins sounds like a good idea after that," the company told a follower.
4J promised more information about the update by the week's end, as well as an updated fix list is on the way for the new update, but as has been seen before, this is what we know for now.
- XP orb sounds will be fixed
- Sheep will be able to grow back sheared wool by eating grass, but in a future update
- Wolf pups will be born tame
- Climbable vines are coming, just not in this update
- In addition to blaze rods, Blazes will drop glowstone dust
- The End will be added in Title Update 9
- Missing potions coming in a future update
- Ocelots coming in a future update
- Kick Player bug is being addressed
- Inability to sleep because of a message warning monsters are nearby, despite there aren't any monsters nearby, is being fixed
- Spawn eggs coming, but in a future update
- The End portal frame will activate in a future update
- Texture packs and Skin Pack #4 are in progress, but 4J doesn't have a release date in mind
- Iron Golems coming in a future update
We'll post more as we hear anything new from developer 4J.
