WWE Latest News & Update: The Hardy Boyz Swanton Bombing Back In 2017?

The WWE continues to skim through old talent, mostly coming from the Attitude Era. There are a lot to mention though the Hardy Boyz need no further recollection.

The Hardy Boyz are of course Matt and Jeff, both currently with TNA Wrestling. But the word around is that the WWE is serious about reeling them in. As of this writing, they may be halfway there.

Jeff Hardy’s contract with TNA is expiring by February 2017 and the daredevil wrestler has been telling people that he is returning to the WWE once his contract is up. Right now, he is out of commission owing to a dirt bike accident though it remains to be seen if he will still see action on TNA.

Reinvented Matt Hardy following?

Matt Hardy’s case is a bit different though the 42-year-old “Wolverine” has been creating quite a buzz on TNA with his new character. He is currently one of the top heels for TNA, portraying a dark, supernatural character, Forbes reported.

Like Jeff, Matt’s TNA contract will be lapsing as well so a jump back to the WWE is highly possible. But would it be the best choice for him considering the mileage he has achieved away from the WWE?

A big gamble for Matt Hardy

Alberto Del Rio gambled on moving into the WWE scene though his tenure didn’t turn out the way he wanted it to be. He was hoping for a push that never came and the best he could achieve was being United States champion.

For Hardy, it wouldn’t be surprising if he would ask for the same which may not totally sit well with Vince McMahon and company. The focus right now is to build on the young stars, most of which are now holding title belts.

The only exception is AJ Styles who is WWE champion. Ironically, he too is a TNA alumnus. If Matt or Jeff provide the same electricity, then there is a chance they could be an exception to the rule.
