It's no secret that Thanos will be the major villain in the highly anticipated "Avengers: Infinity War", which should reveal whether the Mad Titan will collect all the Infinity Stones. However, it looks like the baddie will not have to look for the Stones or face the Avengers on his own. New "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star Gabriel Luna just namedropped comic book bad guy Mephisto when discussing the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Did the new Ghost Rider just confirm that the villain will debut in MCU alongside Thanos?
'Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Star Gabriel Luna Teases Mephisto MCU Debut In 'Avengers: Infinity War'?
There have been speculations that Thanos will not be the only villain who will terrorize the planet in the third "Avengers" film. Fans have been hoping "Avengers: Infinity War" will introduce Adam Warlock or another powerful Marvel supervillain who could unite with the Mad Titan in his quest to complete the Infinity Gauntlet.
But is it possible that Ghost Rider's creator will be the one to aid Thanos in the upcoming MCU film? Gabriel Luna hinted on Mephisto's arrival in a recent interview for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Gabriel Luna teased that MCU will finally deal with the more supernatural aspects of the comic books. The new "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star then went on to namedrop his character's creator to Collider (via ComicBook). Gabriel Luna that most of the magic begins with the introduction of "the world of Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider and Mephisto." So does this mean all of these characters will join Thanos in "Avengers: Infinity War"?
Although it is possible that Gabriel Luna was simply referring to the magical side of MCU (TV and films), fans can't help but wonder if Mephisto will do more than just create the new Ghost Rider in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." There is plenty of hope that the demon will pop up in "Avengers: Infinity War" to help Thanos complete the Infinity Gauntlet when the film premieres on May 4, 2018.
