The latest DLC for "Star Wars: Battlefront" has just been released and players are excited about the new content. Season Pass holders got hold of "Death Star" DLC earlier than the rest of the players of the world. The game update introduces more weapons, five new maps and the new game mode Battle Station.
The new Battle Station mode is the opposite take of the Walker Assault. In the new "Star Wars: Battlefront" game mode, the Empire puts up a defense and the second phase features the Rebels entering the Death Star to save R2-D2. According to Metro, this "Death Star" game mode recreates all the important sets from the first "Star Wars" movie.
"Death Star" also introduced new heroes - Chewbacca and Bossk -- who are now playable. Although these playable heroes make for an interesting DLC, Eurogamer reports that there aren't so much outstanding changes brought to "Star Wars: Battlefront." The publication noted that "Death Star" DLC didn't have "hero-specific modes" which will put the spotlight on Chewbacca and Bossk. However, the new patch or game updates rolled out for "Battlefront" are the ones that brought significant changes.
Apart from the new content from "Death Star" DLC, the game also received a major update, which addresses game bugs, including problems with audio and the spectator camera. A player's health bar has also been given a tweak so that it's easier to see that health points have been replenished by the Bacta Bomb. Changes were also applied to weapons, traits and Star Cards. In addition, the scout binoculars' cooldown has been cut down to 10 seconds. The full patch notes for "Star Wars: Battlefront" can be found on the official website.
"Star Wars: Battlefront - Death Star" DLC is the game's third and penultimate expansion. The final DLC, "Rogue One: Scarif" will be released in holiday 2016 and this update is based on the December 2016 film. "Death Star" will be available for everyone else in two weeks.
