Fans are now excited for the return of "Grimm" Season 6, but their excitement might not last longer as it is the TV series' final installment. The new season only has 13 episodes from its usual 22 parts and NBC has yet to renew the show.
Online Petition For Netflix To Pick Up 'Grimm' Season 7
However, there's a big possibility that "Grimm" Season 7 could be in the works as fans are now demanding for its continuation. In fact, an avid fan named Rebekka Hay from Wales, United Kingdom started an online petition on Change.org to ask Netflix to continue the ending "Grimm" Season 6. "The majority of the fans feel, that the story cannot end yet, that there is so much more potential and that it would be a wasted opportunity," she noted.
The petitioner even explained that fans foresee that "Grimm" Season 6 will be the tale's conclusion as NBC moved the show into the known "Friday night death slot." She, too, said that they are still lucky to have a new season in spite of the changed of schedule, as per iTech Post. As of this writing, the online petition now has 6,762 supporters and still lacks 738 signatures to complete the 7,000 needed.
Does 'Grimm' Losing Its Charisma?
According to The Bitbag, some fans used their social media platforms to express their dismay in the ending of "Grimm" Season 6. The police procedural fantasy drama once enjoyed high TV ratings and positive feedback, but it looks like it is now losing its charisma. It has been said that the TV series' ratings are decreasing and that might be the main reason why the show is being canceled.
Nevertheless, fans still have their high hopes that their favorite TV adaptation of "Grimm" fairytale will be renewed and picked up by other networks. In another online petition, supporters of the show are asking TNT to continue "Grimm" Season 7 for being the "best show in the universe." NBC has no response yet about the issue. "Grimm" Season 6 is set to return in October on NBC.
