"NCIS" Season 14 is about to kick off with a new crime to solve and additional characters to replace Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). In the first episode of the action police procedural drama, the new agents will be immediately on a mission that will be the main focus of the story.
'NCIS' Season 14 Plot & New Additional Characters
The opening of "NCIS" Season 14 will begin with the team of investigators inspecting the car explosion in Washington, D.C. The blast is quickly connected to the loss of Special Agent Nicholas "Nick" Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), who has been suddenly gone on duty in Argentina. Leroy Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) group might be busy investigating, but he will ask for Special Agent Alexandra "Alex" Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) to support his team.
Moreover, it would be the first time that fans will see Wilmer Valderrama as Special Agent Nick Torres in "NCIS" Season 14. Jennifer Esposito is also a new addition along with Duane Henry, who plays the role of MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves, although he is already introduced in last season's finale. According to International Business Times, Alex went to see Gibbs and question him for rejecting eight special agents who qualify to replace DiNozzo's position.
Alex Slams Gibbs, Bishop?
Gibbs explained that nobody from the eight agents perfectly suits the position left by DiNozzo. He described the applicants are too timid, too slow, too physical and too smart to fill the seat, as per Buddy TV. "You're like the Goldilocks of NCIS," Alex told him. Additionally, Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham) will now question Nick for spending eight years of his life as an undercover agent in "NCIS" Season 14.
However, Alex will come to his defense and insist that it is only "different strokes" of fate. "He probably views a desk job as a fate worse than death," she added. Alex also slams Bishop by elaborating that being an undercover agent is no easy work as every action they made has its consequences. "NCIS" Season 14 will begin on Sept. 20, Tuesday, on CBS at 8 p.m.
