While it may not be a complete list, 4J Studios took to answering fans' questions on Twitter as to what will be included in the 8th title update to Minecraft on XBox. The majority is bug fixes, but the studio's eyeing a couple of additions for future updates. Check out the list below:
- XP orb sounds will be fixed
- Sheep will be able to grow back sheared wool by eating grass, but in a future update
- Wolf pups will be born tame
- Climbable vines are coming, just not in this update
- In addition to blaze rods, Blazes will drop glowstone dust
- The End will be added in Title Update 9
- Missing potions coming in a future update
- Ocelots coming in a future update
- Kick Player bug is being addressed
- Inability to sleep because of a message warning monsters are nearby, despite there aren't any monsters nearby, is being fixed
- Spawn eggs coming, but in a future update
- The End portal frame will activate in a future update
- Texture packs and Skin Pack #4 are in progress, but 4J doesn't have a release date in mind
- Iron Golems coming in a future update
No date has been promised for when the update, or future updates, will release, as 4J is "still working on fixes." Players can expect a complete list of changes and fixes for Title Update 8 once everything is tested.
With over 4 million copies sold to date, Minecraft is currently the third most played online game on the Xbox 360, coming in after Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The PC version still boasts the most players at about 8 million. The pocket edition comes in next, having hit the 5 million download mark last month.
