"Destiny: Rise of Iron" is arriving tomorrow and Bungie has treated fans to a new "Destiny" ARG, "Owl Sector." The new alternate reality game (ARG) is like a virus, infecting players with amazing stat-boosting buffs.
According to IGN, the new "Destiny" ARG, "Owl Sector" features five different infections namely, Brilliance 3.2, Glory 2.1, Splendor 2.6, Magnificence 2.0, and Fortitude 3.1. These can be obtained by grabbing the orbs from teammates who are already infected, in public or private PvP matches in "Destiny: Rise of Iron."
Gamers will also be able to obtain more than one of the buffs mentioned above in the new "Destiny" ARG, "Owl Sector." In fact, the more players obtain the buffs, the more information they will be able to access in the chat logs in the "Owl Sector" website.
According to Forbes, the chat logs in the new "Destiny" ARG, "Owl Sector" website contains threads about how the virus started. It seems that the buff virus was developed by Clovis Bray on Mar and began in the Dust Palace, implying that there may be clues to a mission in that location for "Destiny: Rise of Iron."
Polygon reports that the chat logs in the new "Destiny" ARG, "Owl Sector" website also indicates an increasing number of hotspots all over the world, possible showing how many "Destiny: Rise of Iron" gamers have been infected by the buff virus. Most of the ones infected have the Brilliance, Magnificence, and Splendor viruses already.
The upcoming "Destiny: Rise of Iron" DLC is arriving tomorrow and it looks like the new "Destiny" ARG, "Owl Sector" is another clue about how the new update is going to play out. In the upcoming DLC, gamers will find that a biochemical plague called SIVA has infected their world. These viruses may be a clue as to what their mission will be once the update is released tomorrow for "Destiny: Rise of Iron."
Keep checking back for the latest on "Destiny: Rise of Iron" that arrives tomorrow and the "Destiny" ARG, "Owl Sector."
