Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed III's multiplayer mode is getting a new add-on called the Battle Hardened DLC. Although, the announcement has been pulled from the official Assassin's Creed website.
According to an article on the CVG, the information was republished on the PlayStation forums. The multiplayer add-on will introduce three new maps and three new characters.
Season Pass holders will get the new DLC for free and everybody else will have to 800 Microsoft points on Xbox Live for Xbox 360 or $9.99 on PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. The Battle Harden DLC is schedule to release on Jan. 8.
The Assassin's Creed III Season Pass is available for purchase for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network. The pass provides gamers with more than 25 percent in savings versus purchasing each DLC separately.
The CVG reached out to Ubisoft for confirmation, but has yet to receive a comment from the gaming publisher.
The pack includes three new maps and characters. Here is the details:
Three New Characters:
- The influential Governor
- The resilient Highlander
- The fearsome Coyote Man
Three New Maps:
- The lush, tropical environment of Saint Pierre
- The moody, atmospheric stronghold of Fort St-Mathieu
- The embattled, enflamed Boston neighborhood of Charlestown
The most recent DLC pack for the game, Hidden Secrets was universally released on Dec. 11. The small add-on includes three missions: the Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War, and a Dangerous Secret and adds an hour of gameplay plus new weapons and outfits.
Ubisoft still has yet to announce the release date of the game's already announced "The Tyranny of King Washington," DLC. The new expansion is an all-new single-player campaign told through three episodic content packs that lets gamers experience an alternate history where George Washington has declared himself the King of America.
Assassin's Creed III is available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Windows PC.
