Earlier today, we discussed the different types and kinds of Pokemon in order to effectively counter Dragonite in "Pokemon GO" gym battles. Now we look into the weakness of another "Pokemon GO" gym juggernaut in Exeggutor.
Exeggutor is one tough nut to crack in "Pokemon GO." According to RankedBoost, Exeggutor is boasting a max CP of 2955.18, base defense of 164 and a base stamina of 190. Making it a perfect "Pokemon GO" gym defender and attacker.
Does that mean this three-faced Pokemon is unstoppable? We don't think so! Just like the current strongest Pokemon in "Pokemon GO" Dragonite, Exeggutor has its own set of weaknesses.
Exeggutor is a Grass and Psychic type Pokemon and in order to beat this big fellow in "Pokemon GO," we must find a Pokemon type that would deal the most damage out of Grass and Psychic types. These types of Pokemon are weak to Bug type Pokemon and are dealt with more than the usual amount of damage in battling one.
Venomoth, Parasect, Beedrill and Butterfree are all very common Pokemon in "Pokemon GO" that can be used to beat an Exeggutor having even twice of its CP. Given that it has the right bug type moveset to back up its Pokemon type advantage. For Venomoth and Butterfree, a moveset of Bug Bite as its base attack and Bug Buzz as its charge attack is a great combination in "Pokemon GO" to defeat Exeggutor.
Rarer bug type Pokemon such as Scyther is also an effective Exeggutor "Pokemon GO" gym counter. A very ideal bug type moveset for Scyther in "Pokemon GO" is Fury Cutter for its base attack and Bug Buzz as its charge attack.
