According to Cinema Blend (via Inquisitr), there is a possibility that Agent Hotchner will be sent to a new mission that may cause his death. There are also swirling rumors that Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) will replace him. However, fans should only take it with a grain of salt as the "Criminal Minds" Season 12 writers are not yet revealing how fans will witness Thomas Gibson's exit. Aisha Tyler, on the other hand, revealed that she knows how the role of the 54-year-old star will take off.
"I know what's going to happen, but I cannot tell you. I do know what's going to happen, but I'm sworn to secrecy," Aisha Tyler said. The talk show host revealed that fans are quite upset with Thomas Gibson's exit as he has been part of the show for a long time now. However, although Agent Hotchner will not be seen in the coming episodes of "The Criminal Minds" Season 12, she promised that fans will still enjoy the show.
