It looks like things are now ready for the return of "Arrow" Season 5 as The CW recently revealed the official synopsis of the show. Even though Oliver's (Stephen Amell) was demolished from the last season, it seems a new one will be built this time.
'Arrow' Season 5 Synopsis
According to "Arrow" Season 5's official synopsis, as obtained by ComicBook, Oliver solely takes the place of protecting the people of Star City as Green Arrow. Although Laurel (Katie Cassidy) died and Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea (Willa Holland) exit, Oliver got the help of Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) to save their place from harm. Star City is now being plagued with new vigilantes and criminals waiting for their next victim.
As protecting Star City alone is a not an easy task, especially that Oliver is also the town's mayor, Felicity asks him to build a new group that will help him. Though he rejected the idea, the coming of Tobias Church (Chad L. Coleman), a dangerous criminal, in "Arrow" Season 5 makes him decide to form a new team of superheroes. Fans will also be taken to Russia in a series of Oliver's flashbacks while taking the Bratva down.
Diggle Will Be Mad At Oliver's New Superhero Team?
Meanwhile, it looks Diggle is set to be back in "Arrow" Season 5, but he might not like the new superheroes Oliver will group. "He's not going to love all these little upstarts, trying to take over his role," executive producer Wendy Mericle told TVLine. "But he'll adjust. He's going to find some common ground with Wild Dog, and that will help take the sting out of it."
Wendy Mericle teased that Diggle is only stationed in Chechnya and still in the military. He also described him as "a man without a state," a guy who's away from his family and his team. Diggle is still finding a way how to retrieve himself after killing his brother. "Arrow" Season will return on Oct. 5 on The CW.
