The world still needs to wait more than two years before "Jessica Jones" Season 2 debuts on Netflix, but that doesn't mean that people will simply stop talking about the Marvel series. There are already speculations that Krysten Ritter's private investigator will face multiple villains from IGH, including Trish Walker's ex-lover Will Simpson. But is it possible that Jon Bernthal will make an appearance as The Punisher? Frank Castle's rumored cameo in the show might actually happen.
'Jessica Jones' Season 2 To Feature Multiple Villains! Is Jon Bernthal's The Punisher One Of Them?
GamenGuide has previously reported about the possibility that Will Simpson and IGH will be the multiple villains featured in "Jessica Jones" Season 2. This was already hinted upon in the first season, when Will was taken away by the organization so they could (maybe) turn him into the Marvel comic book baddie Nuke. Trish Walker is also began searching more information about IGH, who turned out to be connected to Jessica herself. But will the second season also make room for Jon Bernthal's The Punisher as another possible villain?
Of course it's possible for Frank Castle to eventually cross paths with Jessica Jones. After all, they are both based in Hell's Kitchen and "Daredevil" Season 2 has already established the connection between the two Marvel shows. It will not be a huge stretch to bring Jon Bernthal in to reprise his role as The Punisher in "Jessica Jones" Season 2. Jessica and Frank might even meet prior to the series in another Netflix series.
Will The Punisher Appear In 'Marvel's The Defenders' Before Crossing Over To 'Jessica Jones' Season 2?
If Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple can pop up in three different Netflix shows ("Daredevil", "Jessica Jones" and "Luke Cage"), there's no reason that The Punisher can't be in "The Defenders". Some fans are hoping that Jon Bernthal will have a guest apperance as Frank Castle in the Marvel superteam show before heading for "Jessica Jones" Season 2 AND continue on to his own solo series, both airing in 2018.
