Kelly Kapoor has come a long way from her "The Office" days and topbills her very own series. "The Mindy Project" season 5 production is reportedly already underway and it won't be long until fans can Mindy and the gang once again. Although "The Mindy Project" has experienced some cancellation issues when Fox decided to let it go, the series eventually found its new home in Hulu.
In "The Mindy Project" season 5, viewers can expect Mindy to have her eyes on a new love interest. Mindy's new apple of the eye will be Leland Breakfast, played by British actor, Jack Davenport. Leland will play the character of a notorious playboy theater actor in New York.
A new love interest for Mindy might bring a refreshing change in "The Mindy Project" season 5 atmosphere since there was a pestering love triangle in the previous season. Leland Breakfast's arrival in Mindy's life will take her attention and hopefully uproot her totally from the triangle involving her, Danny and Jody.
Mindy's interest in Danny is not really set in stone and might even be harbored just because she has a child with the man. Aside from her love triangle in the previous season, Mindy's love life was a total blah so "The Mindy Project" season 5 will infuse excitement in the series.
Speaking of "The Office," Mindy's reel and real life ex-boyfriend B.J. Novak might reappear in "The Mindy Project" season 5. The two estranged lovers have remained a friendly relationship after breaking up and has even sparked undying rumors of them getting back together.
With Jack Davenport's character gracing "The Mindy Project" season 5 and B.J. Novak's impending return, the series will surely be one hell of a love boat ride. Catch "The Mindy Project" season 5 premiere night on Oct. 4.
