Will Hayden, former reality star of "Sons of Guns" is currently being tried in court for rape charges. In August, he was supposed to have a court hearing on two counts of aggravated rape and single count for forcible rape but it did not push through, and the date was moved to December.
Hayden, now 51, pleaded not guilty of all the charges and it was his lawyer Bo Rougeou who asked for the trial to be postponed. He cited conflict in schedule as the reason and apparently, the prosecutors granted the request. The new trial date was set to Dec. 12 in Baton Rouge.
In 2014, the grand jury at East Baton Rouge Parish held him responsible for the rape of two pre-teen girls. Based on the testimonies, it was alleged that Hayden molested the first girl in the 90s and the other girl was raped on two occasions, in 2013 and 2014.
On top of these complaints, the grand jury also condemned Hayden for sexually harassing his own daughter Stephanie Hayden Ford. She also appeared in "Sons of the Guns" TV show as her father's co-star.
During a live show in 2014, Ford opened up and narrated her traumatic experience involving her father. She said that one night, her father came home drunk and he went to her bedroom. While trying to undress her, he was kissing and pinching her but she managed to escape and her father never laid a hand on her ever again.
Summing up all the charges, Hayden is accused of three counts of aggravated rape wherein two took place in East Baton Rouge and one in Livingston. Although he pleaded not guilty, Hillar Moore III, District Attorney from East Baton Rouge Parish, said that they are confident that the grand jury will indict the former TV star.
Finally, if convicted for rape, the former "Sons of Guns" star will be jailed for life. On his forcible rape charges, it carries a maximum of 40 years if found guilty.
