According to Techtimes, the forerunners of these accounts have cited their loyalty as avid followers of "Sonic". Lately, the "Sonic" YouTube account has given a blow at Nintendo and their recent usage of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to break up fan-made video games.
"Sonic's" famous Youtube account Game Grumps had lately posted a clip of the players playing the fan-related project, Sonic game "Green Hill Paradise Act 2". Intead of attempting to break the video like what Nintendo does, Sega provided a green light and created a seal for its blessing.
"Brb, DMCA time," the account said."Just kidding, Keep making great stuff, Sonic fans," a statement given by Sega for "Sonic". The clip is currently having most comments on Youtube, which has an approximate 500,000 watch.
Nintendo has been on top of the news in a latest report on break down of fan-made games. A fan project "Metroid 2" has lately cracked down along with its popular 'Pokemon Uranium'. The game was removed due to its legality issues addressed by Nintendo.
With these current issues, Sega's clear advertisements of fan-made games stood strong in distinction to Nintendo's act. Sega's various ways is up thanking the full support passion of "Sonic" followers who still supports the game albeit the exposure of few negative plays in some years.
