Maybe you got your hands on the DmC: Devil May Cry demo, maybe you didn't. Either way, there were parts of the game you didn't get to see (something which tends to happen with demos).
But Capcom is offering gamers a chance to go behind the curtain and see more of Dante's new adventure.
According to a post on Capcom Unity, Ninja Theory is offering fans a chance to "hang out in the Capcom office lobby with Capcom staff and get exclusive hands-on time with areas not previously demoed to the public." But here's the tough titties.
1. The event is open to all, but since DmC is wrought with all sorts of delicious violence, you have to be at least 17, or accompanied by a parent or guardian, lest all that bloody goodness warp the little ones in their formative years.
2. Since this is at Capcom HQ in California, being in the San Francisco Bay area that day sure would help.
Apart from seeing Dante hack n' slash, "there will be amazing prize giveaways, pizza (note: please bring clothes anyway), and some excellent photo ops."
If you plan on attending, make sure you let 'em know by providing a comment at Capcom Unity's posting.
A reboot, DmC: Devil May Cry is set in a parallel universe from the original Devil May Cry series. Set in Limbo City, a younger, non-silver haired Dante comes across "The Order," is a shadowy organization led by Dante's brother Vergil that has been fighting against Limbo's demons. During the events of the game, Dante learns of his true heritage, that of half-angel and half-demon, and is frequently taunted and stalked by the demon Mundus, the antagonisnt of the first Devil May Cry title.
Capcom recently announced DLC for the new game, titled Vergil's Downfall, which returns Dante's brother Vergil to the story. According to a press release from Capcom, "Vergil's Downfall offers fans the opportunity to play as one of the most wanted Devil May Cry characters, Vergil, in an all new storyline with fresh gameplay including new weapons, combos, enemies, and locations."
DmC: Devil May Cry is set to arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Jan. 15, in North America and Europe, followed by a PC release shortly thereafter.
