The hero of "Vikings" Ragnar Lothbrok has done it all. From being a farmer to being the King of Denmark, he has gone through numerous trials and sufferings ever imagined. However, he was still able to overcome and manage them. With everything that he has accomplished, many are wondering on whether the sun is ready to set on Ragnar's story on "Vikings" Season 4.
In "Vikings" Season 4, Ragnar's sons are now grown-up. There is a theory that Ragnar's reign is ending soon and will be succeeded by one of his sons. There is still no specific way on how this would happen on the show but "Vikings" creator Michael Hirst consistently stated that Ragnar's quest is far from ending.
Michael Hirst also said that he was very anxious for Ragnar's sons to be there right at the end of the episode. He told Entertainment Weekly that the viewers can look forward to following them on the show.
Another popular theory depicting Ragnar's fall in "Vikings" Season 4 is that Floki would betray him, reports Yibada. If Norse lore were to be followed, it is definitely possible that Floki may sell Ragnar out to King Aelle of Northumbria. Ragnar's death may happen inside a pit of snakes. His death will motivate his sons to destroy the Great Heathen Army to avenge Ragnar's death
The tension between Ragnar and Floki grew after the later killed Athelstan. Ragnar considered Athelstan as one of his good friends. Also, in "Vikings" Season 4, Ragnar's feelings for Floki will soften and this will affect Floki's life enormously.
Hirst also said that Floki is going through a lot of changes and has been contemplating his life and his relationships. These changes will continue on and is a very big factor in the story as it progresses.
"Vikings" season 4 will resume on History this fall on November 30, 2016.
