Remember when Zack Snyder unleashed the brilliant live-action adaptation of the "Watchmen" graphic novel? Many fans were impressed with how the director did the best he could with the DC Extended Universe flick that introduced the Comedian, Dr. Manhattan, Silk Spectre and Rorschach. Now it looks like Snyder's initial DC project has seeped into films like "Man of Steel", "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "The Flash" solo film.
'Man Of Steel' Had A Secret 'Watchmen' Cameo, Did You Spot It?
There was a good reason why Kelor sounded so good in "Man of Steel". The Kryptonian robotic servant was voiced by Carla Gugino, who portrayed Silk Spectre in Zack Snyder's "Watchmen". Gugino also provided the voice that guided Lex Luthor as he created Doomsday in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". However, she wasn't the only actor from the other DCEU flick who appeared in "BvS".
Of Course DCEU's The Comedian From 'Watchmen' Was Batman's Daddy, But Did You Notice The Rorschach Reference In 'BvS'?
Jeffrey Dean Morgan turned in a brief cameo as Thomas Wayne in "Batman v Superman", somehow solidifying his reputation as a DCEU character actor. After all, he played the Comedian in "Watchmen" AND Franklin Clay in "The Losers" (technically Vertigo, but still DC). However, the "BvS" Ultimate Edition also revealed a reference to Rorschach as a brief scene featured the character's famous tagline "The end is nigh". Now it looks like Dr. Manhattan is joining the DCEU party in "The Flash" solo film.
YOOOOOOO the sign says 'the end is nigh' on the gotham port sign, aka what rorschach wandered around with in his disguise in watchmen

Billy Crudup has just been confirmed to join Ezra Miller's "The Flash" solo film as Henry Allen. So yes, there are now two members of the Justice League who were fathered by "Watchmen" characters. It certainly looks like Zack Snyder's touch will be felt in every DCEU flick in the next few years.
