IGN noted that according to game director Hajime Tabata, the structure of the "Final Fantasy XV" gameplay will be half open-world and half linear. The linear aspect will start towards the end, when the train sequence begins. Tabata explained that he did not want the game to end in an open-world type of environment. The story will build up at the very end when the main protagonist and villain are battling each other. He wanted to ensure that the final part was different from the open-world environment and features a more packed and condensed kind of game experience.
"Final Fantasy XV" has been in development for a decade, but the upcoming sequel promises a dynamic storyline with new characters, enemies and weapons, among others. "Final Fantasy XV" will have about 200 hours of gameplay, which is worth the wait for many fans. The game will arrive on Nov. 29, 2016.
