As the third season of the coming of age television sitcom will come to a close, fans are now clamoring for the continuation of "Girl Meets World" Season 4. However, the show's network, Disney Channel, hasn't announced anything yet and its supporters are eyeing it to be picked up by Freeform.
A Petition To Continue 'Girl Meets World' Season 4 On Freeform
In fact, a fan that has a username Smurf Vlogs made a petition at Change.org calling The Walt Disney Company to move "Girl Meets World" Season 4 to Freeform. The appeal needs to have 50,000 signatures and it now earns 47,427 supporters. 2,573 more marks and the request will be completed. According to Christian Post, the supplicant wants the show to continue in other network to remove the restrictions Disney Channel has for the TV series.
"Because Disney is more catered to kids, girl meets world isn't allowed to explore the many more mature subjects that boy meets world was allowed to explore," the petition read. Also, it has been said that Disney Channel has a policy that it can only go as far as four seasons. "Boys Meet World" runs for seven seasons and fans want "Girl Meets World" to be the same. It also said that Freeform can continue "Girl Meets World" Season 4 with its original cast and some added stars for more matured audience.
Fans Want 'Girl Meets World' Season 4 To Feature More Matured Content
According to Health Aim, Disney has been limiting the TV series to only show contents suitable for the kids. The show only features wholesome matters and not even tackling the reality that kids of today experiences. Hence, fans are expecting "Girl Meets World" Season 4 to continue on Freeform to let its story and stars explore more realistic teenage problems that the youngsters can relate to. "Girl Meets World" Season 3 Episode 13 will be released on Sept. 16 on Disney Channel.
