"It was kind of tragic for me, that I didn’t play him for longer," Eccleston confessed during an interview with on 774 ABC Melbourne (via io9). The actor added that he thinks highly of Nine and would have enjoyed playing the Time Lord more.

It isn't unusual for multiple Doctors to appear in just one episode. The special didn't only bring back Tennant as the Time Lord but also offered a quick glimpse at Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor. So would Christopher Eccleston consider returning as Nine in another "Doctor Who" special?
Although Christopher Eccleston has not yet confirmed whether he would return as the Ninth Doctor, it is certainly an idea that "Doctor Who" fans are already considering. Hopefully, Nine will return one day soon.
