‘Pokemon Go’ Gen 2 Latest Rumors, Release Date & Update: New Buddy System Will Help Level Up MewTwo, Zapdos

As most know by now, one of the new features that Niantic will be applying for “Pokemon Go” is the Buddy System. The new feature was designed to help out players earn more candies largely depending on the distance that they cover through walking.

More Candy, More Power

For “Pokemon Go” players, accumulating candies is hard to come by. While the Buddy system should help a lot, many only associate it with common finds like the Pidgeys, Rattatas, and Caterpies. Could it cover the Legendaries as well like MewTwo or Zapdos?

If taken extensively, it makes a lot of sense for players who are fortunate enough to capture the rares at some point in “Pokemon Go”. And if so, one aspect is to make sure that they are strengthening them through the aid of candies.

Before that, where are the Legendaries?

That, of course, is looking pretty far ahead and preparing for the inevitable. Strengthening the rares is a given though “Pokemon Go” players have to find them first.

The belief right now is that these “Pokemon Go” rares are not yet officially out in the open. There have been various reports of spotting but most have turned out to be nothing more than fakes. Hence, it may be a bit premature to plan for now unless someone is already able to pin don MewTwo, Zapdos or even Articuno.

Looking ahead, Niantic has a lot of ground to cover. A lot of flaws have been discovered by players and the game developer has tightened up things by weeding out cheaters. That includes bans for players who play “Pokemon Go” on jailbroken or rooted devices, something that has drawn mixed reactions.

Other than that, it should be interesting how the Buddy system works out and whether Legendaries will benefit from the new feature.
