'The Last Guardian' News & Update: Official Release Date Is Moved To December?

The spiritual successor to videogames "ICO" and "Shadow of the Colossus," is "The Last Guardian." However, the release is going to take a little longer. It has originally been planned to be come out next month, but has been moved until December.

According to WIRED, "The Last Guardian" has more bugs than expected. It is also the main reason why the game's release is delayed. The game has been developed for the last nine months right after its first announcement in 2009. It was first released exclusively for PlayStation 3 and later on developed for PS4.

In another report by GAMESPOT, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios explained that "The Last Guardian" team is in the major milestones of production. The team has made this difficult decision to delay the game's release for a few weeks.

Yoshida explained further that "The Last Guardian's" delayed release is a hard decision. The team wants to make sure that the game delivers what the creators have envisioned. He added that Fumito Ueda who is one of the designers and Japan Studio have a great vision for the game.

It is an emotional journey of friendship which includes trust and the designers' goal is to give out the best experience for fans that have been supporting the game all along. "The Last Guardian" has a heavy storyline which is why the game was held back on purpose in November 2015.

According to a report in EXPRESS, Ueda also shares that the game's storytelling is through gestures, movements and reactions. He added that the best way of communicating in the game is through visual storytelling which he explains is the best way in making the game and how to showcase the story.

Enthusiasts could expect "The Last Guardian" to hit the gaming stalls this coming December 6, 2016.
