The WWE Backlash 2016 pay-per-view has received quite an ovation from the WWE universe. After what many see as one of the better events this year has to offer, the results signify what could be the next best thing for the company
All the superstars that participated in the WWE Backlash 2016 pay-per-view may have something to prove to the WWE universe with such great prizes at stake. Such started with the kick-off show comprised of Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews, which ended with Corbin picking up the victory care of his End of Days.
As per Mirror, another awesome match in the WWE Backlash 2016 event was the gritty Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt feud. Despite The Viper allegedly being attacked backstage prior to the competition, the match went on with Wyatt taking on Kane, until Orton surprised all with an RKO out of nowhere.
One other severely critical match is that of Heath Slater and Rhyno as they put their jobs on the line for an exclusive contract for either RAW or Smackdown. The WWE Backlash 2016 battle ground is where their hardship culminated and became the first ever Smackdown Tag Team Champions, especially for Slater who has been kept in the shadows for the past number of years.
As per Forbes, Becky Lynch also ended the night victoriously when she became the Smackdown Women's Champion against five other competitors. Such superstars included Nikki Bella, Carmella, Alexa Bliss and Naomi, which became one of the most appraised matches in WWE Backlash 2016.
The night of WWE Backlash 2016 ended phenomenally with AJ Styles getting the 1-2-3 of his title match with Dean Ambrose, as he wins the WWE World Championship. After a controversial kick to the groin away from the referee's vision, the Styles Clash became the exclamation point and allowed The Phenomenal One to become champion.
