'Thor: Ragnarok' Release Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Jeff Goldblum Teases Possible Connection Between Grandmaster And Cate Blanchett's Hela? [POSSIBLE PLOT DETAILS]

Fans are slowly learning more about "Thor: Ragnarok". More details about the new characters are being revealed as the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick continues filming. But is it possible that the two major villains in the third "Thor" movie have some sort of connection? Jeff Goldblum has just teased that his character the Grandmaster might have an interaction with Cate Blanchett's Hela in the film.

There have been speculations that Cate Blanchett's baddie will be one of the main reasons why Chris Hemsworth's Thor would end up having to leave Asgard in search of his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) in the MCU film. The character is expected to team up with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to send the Odinson into a new planet where the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) is the most powerful gladiator. However, rumors have surfaced that Hela might have a connection with Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster in "Thor: Ragnarok" after the actor shared an interesting photo on Instagram.

The image shows Jeff Goldblum reading "The Mighty Thor #374", which some assume is just a random comic book issue that the "Independence Day: Resurgence" actor chose as research material. However, Comic Book Movie reports that it is possible that Goldblum is reading up on Hela, who plays a major role in the issue. Will the Grandmaster be working with Cate Blanchett's villain to defeat Chris Hemsworth in "Thor: Ragnarok"?

In "Thor: Ragnarok", Jeff Goldblum's character is rumored to be the one in charge with the gladiator matches in the Hulk's new planet. There are speculations that Hela and Loki may have chosen to send Thor there so he can be killed by the Hulk. However, their plans might backfire as the two former Avengers work together to escape and go back to Earth.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is directed by Taika Waititi and also stars Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. The film is scheduled for release on November 2017.
