Last night's episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 saw the crew making a home for themselves at the hotel, which they've cleared of walkers. Madison and Strand worked together to pull the zombies away from the hotel and into the ocean, drowning the walkers in the process. The task at hand now is to get the living to work together.
According to Forbes, Madison is determined to "clear the hotel and fortify it," thereby creating a safe sanctuary for the remaining living on "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2. This makes for an interesting storyline moving forward, as the crew will have to work together to keep the peace within their community.
Meanwhile, showrunner Dave Erickson sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about last night's episode, which is titled "Pablo & Jessica," in honor of the two lives taken by the zombie apocalypse. Erickson hinted at Ofelia's (Mercedes Mason) whereabouts and when we would see her in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 again.
According to Erickson, viewers will get to see more of Ofelia in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2. He explained that they will reveal the reason behind her departure as well. For Ofelia, her departure was "the last stab at something that for her is really an act of defiance of the apocalypse."
Erickson added that they are already formulating the "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2's following season as early as now. He explained that they are laying the tracks for season 3 and that Ofelia's journey is "instrumental" as they make their way to the next season.
Another interesting event in last night's episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 is the consummation of Nick (Frank Dillane) and Luciana's (Danay Garcia) attraction (love?). According to Erickson, their hookup is an indication that she may have finally let down her defenses and began to trust him. What will become of these two lovers moving forward?
Catch the next episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 next Sunday at 9 p.m. on AMC.
