In the return of "Quantico" Season 2, a new story will be unfolded as Alex (Priyanka Chopra) now joins the CIA. However, as the 34-year-old star was first seen with the FBI in the last season of thriller TV series, some wonder how it would be involved in the new installment.
'Quantico' Season 2's Connection With FBI & Storyline
The showrunner Josh Safran told Entertainment Weekly that FBI and CIA have a "deeper connection" in the coming "Quantico" Season 2. In fact, the recurring characters, Shelby (Johanna Braddy), Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis) and the twins would play a role in linking the two government bodies. However, he carefully avoids not to disclose the exact roles of these intelligent companies.
Priyanka Chopra, too, explained that her character as Alex can't just simply left behind the FBI where she first blossomed. Although she has a new environment in the CIA, she said that Alex would still be "all about the truth, finding the truth and being good" in "Quantico" Season 2. "When the show was picked up, the expectation of some people [at ABC] was that it would be a Grey's Anatomy-type sexy soap," Josh Safran added.
However, he is not eyeing to this idea but to stick to its original story of winding thriller with a touch of melodrama. He, too, will be adding the subplots of the first season in "Quantico" Season 2 featuring the famous "on-again-off-again" relationships of Alex. "Quantico" Season 2 is set to be more matured tackling morality and the "lines you can and cannot cross."
