The recently announced PC patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is one step closer to release.
PC Community Manager Cesar Stastny tweeted that the "PC patch is in the test cycle now," with more details to be announced.
There's still no details on what exactly the patch will address, but given the similarities between the recent patches for the 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, I wouldn't expect the PC update to be too different.
Stastny had said details would come as soon as the patch is finalized. More work is generally required on PC than other platforms, but more information should be on the way relatively soon.
Black Ops 2 is set to begin another Double XP weekend on all platforms, save for the Wii U apparently, as Activision has yet to confirm it. The weekend officially starts at 10 AM tomorrow, and will go until the same time on Dec. 17. 72 hours is more than enough time to get your Call of Duty on, right?
In more Black Ops 2 news, the Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map is now available for 360's season pass holders. The map will eventually make its way to game versions on both PC and PlayStation 3, but a release date has not yet been given.
Since its release, Black Ops 2 has managed to gross over $1 billion, which is just another milestone for the shooter. Shortly after the game's launch, it was revealed that Black Ops 2 managed to set records as Amazon's most pre-ordered game ever. It also managed to hit a sell-through of over $500 million worldwide in the first 24 hours of its release, according to Chart-Track, and GameStop president Tony Bartel wrote that the retailer sold more than 1 million units worldwide, and that "'Black Ops II' is shaping up to be our biggest game launch of all time."
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is out now for Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo's Wii U.
