Former WWE main roster athlete Alberto Del Rio, one of the hottest stars of the company to date, was allegedly released recently. Sadly, the particular superstar may take with him someone that offers great value to the WWE.
After recent reports of WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio being released by the WWE has gone viral, one other factor makes a solid point that could leave fans dismayed. Del Rio's real-life girlfriend Paige may be exiting the company as well.
According to Forbes, Alberto Del Rio (Jose Rodriguez) came to a certain agreement with the WWE that he wishes to be released from his affiliation with the company. One reason that has been pointed to is the fact that Del Rio no longer feels happy with the way things are going for him.
Going back to the potential cause of matters going south, it can be recalled that Del Rio and Paige underwent a suspension last August 18th due to a violation of the WWE Talent Wellness Program policy. Generally, it came to the point wherein Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis) was threatened to have her contract terminated if she would not cease her relationship with Del Rio.
As per Heavy, this presumably led to the departure of Paige from the WWE, which she also claimed to take legal action against. Paige has stayed mum over the issue and went along with Del Rio during his press conferences.
The said scenario can be recalled almost identical to one a number of years back in the WWE. Former champion CM Punk left the company with utter controversy, which was also tailed by his real-life girlfriend AJ Lee-both athletes being at the prime of their careers before being exiled.
