If you can't get enough of Borderlands 2's colorfully bizarre cast, there's good news. Gearbox Software is giving you the chance to take them around with you, by offering fans the chance to download Mr. Torgue and Claptrap ringtones for their phones.
The exploso-phile Torgue took to twitter to announce the news in his usual expletive laden style, saying, "AW SH*T SON I'M A RINGTONE AND SO IS CLAPTRAP OR WHATEVER."
The downloads offer gamers a fair bit of choice, should they choose to have Torgue announce their texts. The Torgue ringtones come in at 60 options, whereas Claptrap offers less than a dozen, but he does drop a bit of wub wub, and his well known displeasure of stairs. Interested parties can snag the ringtones from the Borderlands 2 web site's download section here.
Introduced in Borderlands 2's latest DLC, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, Torgue is the intense CEO behind weapon manufacturer Torgue Industries, with a penchant for Randy Savage mannerisms and a manly mustache that would make the mayor of Metro City downright envious.
The DLC is centered around the discovery of another Vault on the world of Pandora, located in the colorfully named "Badass Crater of Badassitude." The Vault will only open "once the champion of Pandora feeds it the blood of the ultimate coward," so of course, Mr. Torgue has set up an arena in an attempt to find the champion, and open the vault.
As for future DLC, Gearbox President Randy Pitchford recently confirmed on twitter that they are in indeed "working on another character," but nothing is yet known about the character. Gearbox has two more add-on campaigns scheduled to release in the coming months.
