Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is undoubtedly one of the most-anticipated laptops of 2016 and it is rumored that it will be a strong competitor to Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 and iPad Pro 2. Earlier reports suggested that the laptop could have a delayed launch, sometime in early 2017. However, fresh reports suggest that Microsoft is looking to pack the punch in October itself.
If these reports turn out to be true, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will set the laptop market on fire. Speculations are rife that Microsoft is looking forward to unveiling the laptop's various incredible specs and features next month in a massive presentation.
Science World Report reported that Microsoft would be unveiling the super-laptop in October to compete specially with Apple MacBook Pro 2016. The final launch may however be in 2017. Needless to say, Microsoft must be having some pretty extraordinary specs and high performance points for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to actually compete against Apple's flagship.
In fact, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was slated to be released earlier but got delayed as Microsoft wanted to include Intel's Kaby Lake processor in it and Windows 10 Professional Redstone 2 operating system. The efficiency of the Surface Pro 5 is expected to be doubled with the inclusion of these two.
Microsoft is leaving no stone unturned as it is also focusing on a more improved battery for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The Kaby Lake processors are also expected to improve battery life of the device. The Windows 10 Redstone 2 update will bring in an array of innovative and wonderful features.
According to University Herald, other reports are claiming that Microsoft will be releasing a new Surface product code called "Cardinal" during the October event. The tech giant has several sizes planned for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and that includes a 21-inch, 24-inch and 27-inch options. The devices may also come with touch-screen displays.
