Despite previous talks that "Grand Theft Auto 6" by Rockstar Games is already in the works, the game may not happen anytime soon. The game developer has been very quiet about the potential of "GTA 6" happening, spurring some to believe that the game may not launch until at least late 2018. Many "GTA 6" fans thought that the Biker DLC was part of the sequel, although it was actually another extra content for "GTA 5." Before, Rockstar mentioned how they intended to capitalize on the popularity of "GTA 5" first before moving on to the next installment.
The Bitbag noted that Rockstar did not tease that they already commenced work on "GTA 6." Even if they already started development, it would be unlikely for the game to release in 2016 or 2017. Based on the release pattern of other Rockstar titles, it is possible that "GTA 6" may become available late in 2018, the soonest. Players who wish to get details about "GTA 6" may find some at E3 2017.
Several rumors have been circulating online regarding the launch of "GTA 6." Some gamers suggested that Rockstar make the game playable in Virtual Reality (VR). Others thought that a "GTA 6" announcement may be made together with the introduction of "Red Dead Redemption" remastered version. As for the game itself, some players believe that the setting will be in London during the 1960s. "GTA 6" may showcase a female protagonist for a change, with actress Eva Mendes potentially taking on the role for the game.
iTechPost stated that "GTA 6" fans remain optimistic that the game will happen soon, after Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, shared that they plan to create new projects. Some of the projects will allegedly be unveiled at the PlayStation Meeting in September 2016.
In the meantime, "GTA 6" fans can look forward to the release of the Biker DLC on Sept. 20, 2016. It is the first DLC for "GTA 5" since the main game launched in 2013. Rockstar may decide to feature more DLCs while gradually starting work on "GTA 6." More updates and details are expected soon.
