The long anticipated game "The Last Guardian" is surprisingly missing on Sony's roster when it showcased its lineup in its Tokyo Game Show. The game was originally slated for an October release, but it appears that it was nowhere to be found on Sony's latest list. While there are a lot of exciting titles on the line, fans are fearing for the worst that could happen to the hit game.
Mobile N Apps reports that Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has recently announced its exciting lineup of games for the Tokyo Game Show. The titles that were shown include "World of Final Fantasy," "Horizon: Zero Dawn," "Final Fantasy XV," and "Gran Turismo Sport." While "The Last Guardian" does not appear anywhere on the list, some fans who have been following the game's development are not too frustrated.
This is because the game has had a bit of trouble with its development history since way back in 2007. Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. President Shuhei Yoshida cites the shift from PS3 to PS4 as the main reason for frustrating delay. The Bit Bag also reports that not only was "The Last Guardian" absent in the Tokyo Game Show 2016, it was missing, as well, at the recent PlayStation Meeting.
In the recent PlayStation Meeting 2016, new upgrades to the current PS4 were introduced which included the PS4 Pro and the PS4 Slim and some games. During the event, there was not mention at all of "The Last Guardian" and there has been no announcement as to if it will be supported by the PS4 Pro when it gets released. Recently, Sonny seemed to be assuring its fans that the game will be released in October as it posts a generous set of screenshots on Facebook. Now that the game does not appear to be released anytime soon, fans all over are worried.
Other reports however say that Director Fumito Ueda has confirmed that the game is already complete as a whole and that they are just doing the final touches. While it is still possible that the game meets its expected release in October, it might not be so if the developers take their time in polishing the game's finishing details.
