The "Underworld: Blood Wars" trailer is finally out. It is presumed that Kate Beckinsale still kicks ass and looks as youthful as her vampire character Selene.
The fifth installment from the "Underworld" movie franchise has been officially announced with the release of its trailer for "Underworld: Blood Wars." In a report by Variety, the movie teaser is actually a mash up of shots from previous movies and the most recent one that film outfit Screen Gems made.
It shows the continuing war between vampires and their age old nemesis, the Lycans or werewolves. Star Beckinsale returns to bring her vampire character "Selene" to life once more. The "Underworld: Blood Wars" trailer hints at the still youthful looking Beckinsale as the one who is holding the secret to bringing victory to her kind. She was with the franchise since its debut at the box office in 2003.
According to the same post by Variety, "Selene" is back still donning the black outfit actress Beckinsale wears effortlessly while she shoots enemies left and right. Also, "Underworld: Blood Wars" is helmed by newbie director Anna Foerster who is the first woman to handle a directing job for the franchise. The movie is set to come out in theaters on January 6, 2017.
Meanwhile, Comic Book gave a much more detailed description of the latest for "Underworld: Blood Wars." movie plot. It showed the Lycans gaining more power hungry as their leader Marius continues to challenge the vampires.
It has become a full scale war between the two clans and in an effort to stop the fighting once and for all the vampires are going to ask "Selene" to do the unthinkable - help those who betrayed her. The fiery vampire is going to rely on the only people she can trust, "David" who will be played by actor Theo James and her father Thomas (Charles Dance.)
The "Underworld: Blood Wars" movie is set to come out in theaters on January 6, 2017.
