"Sense8" Season 2 has big things going around until the cancellation issue surfaced due to newcomer Sikander Kher. The Bollywood actor is said to be demanding too much talent fee from Netflix.
Sikander Kher was added to the cast as a villain in "Sense8" Season 2. If rumours are true, he could also be the real antagonist behind the camera. Allegedly, the fee that he was asking from Netflix was so huge that it took a toll on the over-all budget of the show. As previously reported, the show has already some operational budget issues as filiming is done in different parts of the world like Brazil, India, Italy and Chicago in U.S.
However, Sikander Kher denied the rumours surrounding his talent fee in "Sense8" Season 2. In an interview with BizAsia, the Bollywood actor asked if something "like this" could actually happen. He was referring to the demands he was allegedly making to the streaming giant. Kher added that in no way he is in a position to demand anything. "Netflix doesn't even know me," the "24: India" star said.
Sikander Kher said that they have already filming his role in "Sense8" Season 2. As a villain, he will fight against Max Riemelt's Wolfgang character and Purab Kohli's Rajan in winning the heart of Tina Desai's Kala. Other casts include Donna Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Miguel Angel Silvestre and Brian J. Smith.
The previous season of "Sense8" has bagged the Most Outstanding Drama Series by GLAAD Media Awards. It has also been nominated for TV show of the year and Dorian and HPA Awards for Campy Television Show. Now, "Sense8" Season 2 cannot even get a slot in Netflix's 2016 programs.
