Fans are looking forward to the release of "Big Hero 6's" sequel, currently dubbed as "Big Hero 7," as Hiro and his friends will once again team up for great adventures. The project has been confirmed by comic book legend Stan Lee during an interview with Toronto Sun.
Last year, Lee implied that Marvel will start working on a "Big Hero 6" project after "Doctor Strange," "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," "Black Panther" and "Inhumans." Although it has been confirmed that "Big Hero 7" is going to be released in the future, an exact date has not been announced.
As for the plot, there isn't much to know as well, but there have been theories going around that Hiro's big brother, Tadashi, will play a big part in "Big Hero 7." Fans can recall that Tadashi died in an explosion in the first movie. But since his body was never found, speculation is rife that he could be alive after all. According to MoviePilot's Jon Negroni, the sequel could bring back the character who will emerge as Sunfire, one of the original characters of the comic version of "Big Hero 6."
Sunfire has the ability to absorb heat and then convert it to plasma. Although it would be cool for Hiro to have his big brother back in "Big Hero 7," who will have super powers, the reunion might not be that pleasant, rumors suggest. According to Negroni's report, Tadashi will start off as a villain but eventually will switch over to his brother's team. Movie News Guide also stated in its report that it is possible the original film's antagonist, Professor Robert Callaghan, will manipulate Tadashi into becoming a villain. It was theorized that Callaghan will use him to put an end to Hiro.
It seems that the theories on "Big Hero 7's" plot will not feature a heartwarming plot between the two brothers. But it should be noted that nothing has been confirmed yet and fans should treat rumors accordingly. "Big Hero 7" is expected to premiere sometime in 2018.
