"Pokemon GO" fans have been patiently waiting for the Niantic to release its latest update for the game. The said upcoming update will now have the Buddy Pokemon feature.
On this upcoming Buddy feature will give "Pokemon GO" players the freedom to choose any of your Pokemon in your inventory and the Pokemon chosen will accompany you wherever you will go. You will also get additional Pokemon candy for your chosen Buddy Pokemon for every kilometres you travelled.
This Buddy Feature will be very useful for the rare Pokemon that you already caught but will be very difficult to look another Pokemon for candy grinding. This addition on "Pokemon GO" will be a very fun one but there will be some strategy in choosing the best Buddy Pokemon.
Pokemon Hub just posted a Buddy Pokemon Tier List where all the 142 Pokemon are ranked based on its efficiency as Buddies. Formulas that are used are the value of walking Pokemon, potential CP outcome, spawn rate of the certain Pokemon and the evolution time by just walking.
According to the given Buddy List, the top 5 most efficient buddies would be the Charmeleon, Grimer, Dragonair, Kadabra and Wartortle. The 3 strongest Pokemon to date are the Dragonite, Charizard and Blastoise. Additionally, only 50 candies are needed to evolve a Grimer into Muk, which is a very rare Pokemon.
Magikarp, Rattata, Weedle, Zubat and Pidgey are found on the bottom list and are also considered as the most common ones. Drowzee is on the last position and will be the worst choice to be your Buddy Pokemon.
